It is over. Some hoped perhaps that Cancellara and Voigt would take the Schlecks for a lap advantage on the Champs Elysees, but like always, nothing like that happened in the final stage. Evans stayed in yellow, Cavendish secured the green jersey and in the classifications of our Vivelo Tour Competition there were no major changes in the last stage.

It's great mate
15th of july 1998, the fifth race-day of the Tour, just like today. The Tour has been overcast by the 'doping-shadow' and arrests linked to doping, but that doesn't take away anything from the fact that it was a good day for Dutch cyling. In the longest 248 kilometer stage from Plouay to Cholet it is sprinter Jeroen Blijlevens finishing off the sprint victoriously for the TVM squad.
