Congratulations to all the winners!
24 July 2011
It is over. Some hoped perhaps that Cancellara and Voigt would take the Schlecks for a lap advantage on the Champs Elysees, but like always, nothing like that happened in the final stage. Evans stayed in yellow, Cavendish secured the green jersey and in the classifications of our Vivelo Tour Competition there were no major changes in the last stage.

Cadel Evans, Marco H., Theoeltinkfan, Rhodry and Erik van Ginkel cheer
23 July 2011
It's all been decided. At least in the Tour de France, where Cadel Evans did what we all expected him to do. In our Vivelo Tour Competition De Gendt, Porte and Péraud made top 10 but they didn´t score enough to shake the general rankings. Unless miracles happen tomorrow in Paris, the Vivelo Fever full carbon racebike, model 2012 is for Marco H. as winner of the Combination Classification. Theoeltinkfan (Main Competition), Rhodry (Stage Competition) and Erik van Ginkel (Points Competition) will be the winners of the Vivelo Space 05 Mountainbike.

No top score without Peter Velits
22 July 2011
We’re all out of superlatives after another exciting stage in the Tour. So we restrict ourselves to the games. Where, unlike in France, the decisions are made in the margins. Contador? The Schlecks? Sammie Sanchez or Cadel Evans? Pierre Rolland? Not enough. If you want to win at l'Alpe d'Huez in our league, you also need Peter Velits, and preferably even Thomas de Gendt.

Rolland the key to stage victory
21 July 2011
Another heroic stage in the Tour. But where in France some heads were rolling, in our Vivelo Tour Competition things were relatively quiet. After all: not one of the riders finishing in the top 20 was a surpsise to us. To line up the right combination, that's the daily challenge.

Only Rhodry holds on to yellow
20 July 2011
A mountain stage with EBH as the winner and Mollema, Casar and Chavanel in the top 5. How unpredictable can it get… No wonder the classifications in the Vivelo Tour Competition went upside down after the 17th stage. The only one who could hold on to his yellow jersey - beside Thomas Voeckler, of course - was Rhodry. The leader in the Stage Competition scored another 900+.

Going for the perfect mix
19 July 2011
We all know the feeling: Why don't we just sit back, relax and watch the fabulous stages in the Tour de France without worrying about the 'wrong' riders escaping, being caught back or finishing third or fourth in the stage?

Oss and Swift make the difference
17 July 2011
What is there to tell about one of the last of the Real Sprints in this Tour? All fast men that we expected where there, except for Dumoulin and Gilbert. The first one killed a lot of SC-teams when he decided to take off in the daily escape after just a few miles, the second one stranded not far from the finish in a desperate chase for green-jersey-points.

Vanendert a surprise? Not for us
16 July 2011
The great victory of Jelle Vanendert at Plateau de Beille this afternoon was not only cheered loudly: a lot of followers called it a big surprise. It was't that big of a surprise for many of the connoisseurs in the Vivelo Tour Competition. The Belgian was repeatedly tipped as a winner during the last few days and figured in hundreds of SC-Teams. So here at the Vivelo Competition, playing Vanendert was not enough.

Welcome to the casino
15 July 2011
The Col d'Aubisque. Hushovd, Boasson Hagen, Petacchi, Gilbert, Rojas Gil. Of course: Who didn´t play these five in his or her team today? A major mountain stage in the Pyrenees? Come on, a piece of cake for Thor and the others.
|
Only Michel Schwanen keeps yellow
14 July 2011
It was predictable: The first mountain stage in the Tour de France shaked the rankings upside down. Only two men could hold on to their yellow jersey today: Thomas Voeckler in the Tour and Michel Schwanen in our Combination Classification.

Who has the right climbers?
13 July 2011
We are exactly halfway through this Tour and the mountains are coming. So it's time for the Big Question: will the top players in the rankings of the Vivelo Tour Competition be able to hold on to their positions? In other words: Is the advantage they built with guys like Feillu, Greipel and Hinault enough to stay ahead of the climbing players?
|
Will Voeckler make the difference?
12 July 2011
It's a nightmare for many players in the Tour Competition. But it could be happening this time: Thomas Voeckler who makes the difference in the various competitions.
|
Only Thor Hushovd loses yellow
10 July 2011
A short bulletin today, out of respect for Johnny Hoogerland and Juan Antonio Flecha. And for Jurgen van den Broeck, Alexandre Vinokourov, David Zabriskie, Amets Txurruka and the others, who followed Bradley Wiggins, Janez Brajkovic, Chris Horner and the rest in a premature end of this bizarre Tour de France.

Sponkie holds on to yellow
9 July 2011
Rui Alberto Faria da Costa. If not just for the beauty of the name everyone should have the Movistar-Portuguese in his team. Because not many participants had faith in him, the few Costa-players had their Big Day: The resurrection of Rui Costa and his victory in stage 8 of this Tour.
|
Finally: Bonnet en Galimzyanov
8 July 2011
And here they were at last. We'll never know how the crashes in stage 7 affected the outcome (Farrar? Boasson? Ciolek? Dumoulin?), but the players who kept their faith in Petacchi, Galimzyanov and especially Bonnet in their team, were rewarded today.

Leaders tumble after EBH-win
7 July 2011
We predicted this yesterday: The stage men like Edvald Boasson Hagen and Matthew Goss were gonna be in front, would be hard day for the leaders in our classifications. It happened even sooner than expected: EBH's win and the second place for Goss led to a huge tumble for the yellow jerseys in the Combination Classification and the Points Competition.
|
Gilbert second? What's he doing there?
6 July 2011
Frustrating days for the players in games like the Vivelo Tour Competition. I mean: what's Gilbert doing there, between Cav and Rojas? And of all the Sky-riders we may have expected, who put Geraint Thomas on 5? And Evans, Klöden, Van den Broeck, Wiggins and Roche in the top 20, who predicted that?
|
Sponkie can start dreaming
5 July 2011
Sponkie from Amsterdam can start dreaming about the Grand Prize in the Vivelo Tour Competition 2011. With a few solid scores he defended his leading position in the Combination Classification.
|
Mrc! winner of the day in PC and leader in MC
4 July 2011
Romain Feillu and Sébastien Hinault made the difference in the Vivelo Tour Competition 2011 today. The other riders in the top six of the third stage are pretty much played by everyone in all competitions, but drafting the two Frenchmen paid off for quite a few competitors.
|
Patrick Willeput leads Combination Classification
3 July 2011
The first leader of the combined ranking in the Vivelo Cycling Fever Competition is Patrick Willeput from Belgium. His classifactons in the Main-, Day- and Points Competition add up to only 56 points.
|
Bodo, Theo Eltinkfan en Bernard Tholen / Ibon Azcune first leaders
2 July 2011
We're off! With a predictable podium after the first stage in the Tour de France 2011. Many of us expected Gilbert, Evans, Hushovd and Rojas on the Mont des Alouettes Les Herbiers. But Van den Broeck, Klöden, Horner and Martin in the top 10?

ReCyclingFever during the Tour
1 July 2011
This is the 9th edition of the Tour Competition, the game that started everything off. A lot has changed since 2003; We have replaced the old Tour de France website over the years into CyclingFever, we've added new games and competitions and we're now positioned more as a cycling-website than ever before.

Vivelo Tour Prizes and Rules
30 June 2011
Tour 2011- Prizes & rules
As this is the first time in nine years that prizes are on offer in our competitions, we have to introduce some extra rules on how we award these prizes.
|
Change to points schedule Points Competition
27 June 2011
It was brought to our attention that this years Tour will be different: We already knew that the intermediate sprint regulations were changed, but we overlooked that fewer riders would receive points for ascending cat 3 and cat 4 climbs.

Tour 2011 climbers-Tour
19 October 2010
The revelation of the Tour de France 2011 course makes a clear point for the climbers in the peloton. They should see enough opportunities in this edition.
